Teresa and DEI Crack the Whip

Ryan Moore has been released by DEI stemming from his actions from the Busch North Series’ Lime Rock race weekend. Moore was penalized for hitting another competitor’s car after the checker fell and for failing to follow the directive of an official.

He was scheduled to run the Busch race in Homestead for DEI and a part-time schedule in 2006. DEI was also attempting to put together a team for Moore to compete in the [avatar:http://cranialcavity.net/files/cts.gif]Craftsman Truck Series[/avatar] event at Atlanta.

Question is, who cracked the whip? Teresa? More than likely it was DEI’s vice president for motorsports, Richie Gilmore. At the time of the Lime Rock incident and suspension Gilmore said, “I don’t have a lot of comment other than to say Mike Helton has made it very clear that NASCAR is not going to tolerate retaliation. Unfortunately, I think Ryan had to learn a hard lesson.”

I think the comment has been made, an additional lesson to study, and who won’t be buttering his bread.
