Thanks for the Gesture Robbie
But no thanks! This sounds like a sequel to a Hollywood movie.
Dumb:
The helmet that Robby Gordon threw at Michael Waltrip was pulled off the online auction site eBay on Wednesday after bidding exceeded $10 million. The site ended the auction because it was unable to verify the legitimacy of the bids…
Nothing unusual there, phony bids on eBay are common. And 10 large is just a bit excessive.
And Dumber:
… and because Gordon didn’t have the proper documentation showing that he planned to donate the proceeds of the sale to charity, said eBay spokesman Hani Durzy.
Gee thanks Robbie, but no thanks. Far be it from me to imply Gordon is attempting to pay off his recent fines and I won’t. I’ll let someone else perform that dirty deed and just chuckle quietly to myself. I do have a word of advice though.
Come back when you get your shit - oops, there’s that word again - together Robbie!

Marc,
It’s people like you, who have to crap all over everything someone does (good or bad), that caused E-Bay to yank the damn auction in the first place, not because it wasn’t listed properly. They only used it as the excuse. If they were so worried about the legitmacy, they wouldn’t have re-listed it.
Hate on Robby all you want. Hate on the people that defend him. But to hate on something he is doing, when said hate will more than likely dissuade people from helping a cause like the Harrah’s Employee Relief Fund is downright skeevy. It also speaks much more to your character than it does his.
BTW… one more example to show you’re talking out of your ass. NASCAR fines have to be paid for the driver that was fined can set foot on a track. Since the original auction ran until Sunday and the re-list runs until Saturday and practice was today, I think that means Robby couldn’t, let alone the fact that he wouldn’t, pay his fine from the auction money.
Were you born a prick or did you get to be one after years of practicing at it?
Gee Carrie, had a change of attitude since you thanked me for writing about Robbie’s performance in the Baja 500? Wonder why that is? Question: by what means do you know that any of the above is not true?
Did you sit in on an eBay Board of Directors meeting? Did they discuss how they would state that Gordon had screwed up and had to pull the item because… well because they hate Gordon like you claim I do?
Given the fact eBay has had hundreds, if not thousands, of items pulled because of phony bids why would they have to also add to the story? Why would they lie as you apparently believe the eBay official did. Why add that Gordon or his “handlers” botched the entire operation by not submitting the proper paperwork?
Or maybe the folks at USA Today are a bunch or liars and THEY added the portion about Gordon screwing up the paperwork.
WHY?
Wait I know. They hate charity. They hate Gordon. They just hate and it’s the largest scheme since Area 51, the Loch Ness Monster and Bush “stole” the 2000 election. What evil bastards they must be!!
NUTS!!
[EDIT] You might be interested to know BigFoot made that 10 million dollar bid before it was pulled down. Is BigFoot also one of those that “crap all over everything someone does,” or just shit in the woods like any self respecting BigFoot does?
And what is it about this statement you fail to understand:
