The Brief Hiatus is Over

OK, I’m back and you’ll be sorry!

I missed a bunch of news the last couple days. Yesterday was spent with a few Amercian, Canadian and Aussie Ex-pats here in the Philippines honoring the 9/11 Anniversary. And some time was spent getting ready for a daughter’s birthday that is tomorrow. She’ll be 8 - going on 22!

Anyway I’m back and full of it. Nothing new right?

Note to NASCAR: How’s that diversity thing going? It would appear you guys are falling behind the power curve. And if rumors are close to being true Bill Lester will be aced out of a BDR ride in both the Busch and Cup series. Not a good thing, he should at least get a shot at the Busch ride.

I suppose it would be too much to ask if Lewis Hamilton would forego being the first Black F1 driver and join Juan Pablo in NASCAR?

Now that the Chase entrants have been decided the brooms are out. First, 33 other drivers get swept aside while all of the NASCAR world focuses on the Annointed Ten

  1. But… but she was ASKED to be there!  That means everything goes, right?  What TR is doing is CENSORSHIP!!!  Why isn’t her husband (if she has one) in there defending her right to be a blithering idiot?  Why, I…

… oh, sorry.  Wrong TR blog.

As you correctly noted, the problem was never Ms. Einarsson.  Her posts were fluff, but inoffensive.  The problem was TR trying to generate heat via inviting people it knew would create traffic.  And other than girlie pics and profanity (remember Mayor Jimmy and Rantville?), nothing gets the kids stirred up like flame wars.

Ah well.  TR reaps as it sows.

Er… ah… Oh I see you beat me to it. RANTVILLE.

That’s when their largest problems started, letting that buffoon anywhere near a Typepad blog. He set the tone and it has carried over to a few others.

So many of his “Journal” and forum readers brought the same manners with them. Of course we both know the writer “special k” and her insignificent other is an entire different ballgame.
