The Great NASCAR Conspiracy Theorists Round-up
As a public service to NASCAR Nation (at least the sane members of it) the Half-Vast Staff™ of Full Throttle has a proposal to rid its populace of its resident nutcakes, loonbats and general all-round conspiracy foil hat wearers.
We have it on good authority from today through 8 July those that believe NASCAR favors Hendrick Motorsports over all others, that ISC closed North Wilkesboro because there is a 100 year supply oil beneath it and caution flags are actually waved remotely from an events principal sponsor world headquarters will all gather in a central place.
Between now and 8 July we believe if this general geographic area were encircled with a 20 foot high concrete wall covered in aluminum foil topped with barbed wire and Vulcan Phasers located every 20 meters should solve the problem once and for all.
If not just Nuc the damn place!

Ha. I have to say the North Wilkesboro conspiracy is a new one to my ears. Although I must say it really saddens me to see it sitting completely unutilized, still proudly displaying the Winston Cup billboard along US421 when I make the trip up to Boone a few times each year.
I’d agree Brett, it’s sad to see the place go, but on the other hand it sits in the center of nowhere with little to no infrastructure to support a major event.
And the fact NO ONE has gathered enough support to hold local late model or modified events says a lot.
Not to mention the last Cup race there couldn’t even pack the stands.
Yea its ashame but simple economics. You would almost certainly have to make some people stay as far away as Charlotte - and that’s just ridiculous.
Perhaps the reasoning for no local events there has to do with the high insurance costs of running a track, something the owners just aren’t interested in dealing with - regardless of whether or not local drivers are.
