Things Not Needed: NASCAR Edition
A little less hype please!
Can we dull the media roar over “The NASCAR Wedding?” I mean really, does the marriage of any driver rate as much column space as Jeffy has garnered the last two weeks. I think not.
But then again I have little interest in anyone’s wedding, even this travesty of wedded bliss. One thing should be said however, Jeffy is starting out operating under a vast misunderstanding. He has said said Ingrid Vandebosch-Gordon (hows that for a hyphenated name?) will remain independent - just like a girlfriend - even though she’s now his wife.
“I told Ingrid right from the beginning I don’t want anything to change,” Gordon said. “So far, we’ve done a pretty good job.”
So far. Whats it been 11 days? Famous last words of someone facing an unknown future! Talk to me in a couple years (if not months) and bring along a little salt to season your Crow.
Also not needed is this rumor floated by AutoWeek. Allegedly Jack Roush is looking at Matt Borland as the guy to assume duties as Jamie McMurray’s crew chief in 2007. Borland you’ll recall is on a two week sabbatical for

It’s not possible to give my man Jeff Gordon too much press. The more the marrier! (get it?)
It will be “marrier” al right. For a while.
I give the marriage made in… well somewhere about 4 years max.
