Tony Stewart Unplugged: WWE Fans Thrilled!

posted in NASCAR |

Well… at least we now know why Stewart bugged out and didn’t offer any interviews after his second place finish at PIR, he was hot. But not from being in a 140

You gotta love Tony. Firey. Even after a few cool-down days. Might need a late night phone conversation with his anger management guru. Just to lighten things up, Smoke could offer one of the WWF stars a guest drive at his all-star race at Eldora.

Maybe Smoke did offer a ride. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin was the grand marshal at Texas.

Could be he hung around Austin too long and has gotten a little more feisty that usual.

Tony is an idiot. He can complain about the cars, the drivers, the tracks, the lack of time off, anything he wants, EXCEPT the way NASCAR runs the race events.

You and I can think it, voice it, even write about it. But one of the biggest stars of the sport can’t use his own radio show to mother-love the sanctioning body and how they are rigging the outcome of races.

After all, Tony would not have been running up front if not for the “other” cautions, would he! Oh, the ones that help him don’t count!!

I won’t go as far as to call Tony an idiot, outspoken, intemperate, hotter than a fresh screwed fox after “losing out” on 3 wins at this point, I’ll go with that.

And technically with NASCAR having no rule against drivers doing what has been done Smoke and the rest are free to lambaste the sanctioning body all they want.

Since when does Mother Daytona need rules to enforce the discipline they need, indeed, require, to survive and thrive? The old “conduct unbecoming” rule covers any and all transgressions they cannot imagine but need to respond to.

ASSCARS statement that they have no method to “tame the tiger” is “smoke” to cover their back door conversations with Tony and Gibbs.
Next time he pulls this stunt I predict severe sanctions, and it might come from the team and/or the sponsor as opposed to Daytona.

Stupid, plain and simple, stupid comments. He can justify track tantrums as spur of the moment anger induced mistakes. 2-3 days later on a radio broadcast? How does he sell that one? I’ve re-thought my earlier comment, and I think he IS an idiot. Risking not only his own future but his team.

I will always be convinced that NASCAR determined that Tony would be 2005 Champion and they kept throwing the PHONEY Yellow at Homestead every time He was about to be lapped (I believe it was 3 different times). If the yellow hadn’t come out, who knows how many laps Tony would have gone down and how much problem the backmarkers would have caused him. Biffle and Edwards were the class of the field that day and of course ended up tied (points wise) for 2nd. I’m sure that NASCAR just didn’t want Roush to win 3 Championships in a row, so the yellow flag help for Stewart.
So Yes Tony, NASCAR is like wrestling, fixed and phoney, and you sir have benefitted greatly!

  • "You've got to be that desperate to try to win a race? He must not want to race a long time because that's going to some pretty extreme measures. Whatever. That's just the way he drives, the way he thinks."

"I think he's a punk. And I wish he was sitting right here beside me."
Greg Biffle to Kevin Harvick after the June '05 Busch Series event.
