Turn Out Time Square’s Lights, NASCAR is Gone.

Turn Out Time Square's Lights, NASCAR is Gone.

This can only be a good thing.

NASCAR and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) have reached an agreement in principle to bring the Sprint Cup banquet, awards ceremony and postseason celebration to Las Vegas in the first week of December.

“Some deal points still need to be finalized,” said LVCVA president Rossi Ralenkotter.

I’d like to say I had something to do with this, but I can’t. I can say I’ve been riding this bandwagon for nearly 2 years and damn glad it’s finally come to pass.

The deal when completed will be worth between $500,000 and $1 million for each year with the site of the banquet left up to NASCAR to chose.

In previous years NYC declared a “Gridlock Alert Day” in Mid-Town due to the “Victory Lap” parade and it was canceled all together last December.

All I have to say is good riddance NYC, you won’t have “NASCAR Drivers Towing Giant Wal-Mart Full Of Fat Middle-Americans Thru Center Of Manhattan” any longer!

Too bad the last hauler that left the city in December didn’t turn out Time Square light when they had the chance!

  1. You’re an ass.

  2. Thanks Randy, glad you noticed, Momma used the same description as a term of endearment. Said it was because of my big ears and brown hair.

But I have to say, for someone who never has commented here before to leave such a cryptic response completly devoid on any explaination you’re far, far worse than any big eared farm animal.

In fact, you’re an asshole and within the context of the blogosphere a Blog Roach.

    Have a nice day.
