Unisphere? NASCAR? What the Friggin’ Hell!
Ok, I’m not the brightest color in a Crayola Box, even an eight color box.
Fortgetaboutit when talkin’ the 64 color version. The 164 version, your talkin’ eyes glazed over like a Krispy Kreme donut.
But what the hell, I had trouble figuring what a Unisphere was, let alone any connections it had to NASCAR.
But it does, I guess, and if your smarter than this [sub]fifth grader you can win a copy of Dr. Diandra Leslie-Pelecky’s new book

The new Nascar watcher is changing. I recently read a great book Ford and the American Dream by Clifton Lambreth where he discusses the changing demographics.
mrcarman - I’ve left this comment. The other one that was nearly identically worded on another post was deleted. Considering the book you note came out over a year ago and having two comments almost mirror images of each other I consider you as nothing more than a clever spammer.
AS such your IP has been banned.
Wow. My eyes almost crossed after reading that article.
Stephen’s last blog post..Where do they get this stuff?
Author claims that slipstreaming/drafting “discovered” by Junior Johnson in early 60s. Not so. It was fairly common knowledge in various disciplines of open wheel racing from the 1930s.
Not just the author, every NASCAR “expert” from the time claims it as fact.
I haven’t ever seen a ref attributing the maneuver to any open wheelers but the possibility exists. Until I ses a valid ref I’ll stick with this author and many others who should know.
