   Besides in Canadian North America, will there be any tears shed over JV’s eminent departure? But this guy has demonstrated more racing lives than a cat, let’s hope he’s truly on his last one.

   But if he does manage to con one more team, here’s hoping it’s Toyota. Imagine JV and Ralfie as teammates? Ralf has been extraordinarily well behaved this year, maybe he doesn’t deserve JV either. But if he’s anything like his brother he has ample opportunity yet to display HIS character defects as well!

   for Jacques The problem with BMW and Mario Thiessen is the same as with David Richard and BAR Honda. Both Thiessen and Richards are racist. Richars fired JV whalt look at what happend to BAR Honda:Nothing. The same will happen to BMW.

   I can’t help but think that Jacques wasted his talent in F1 & now his best is behind him. He & his manager really shot themselves in the foot.After the fiasco of BAR 99, with not a single point scored, he elected to stay on when he could have bailed, Honda’s sign up played a part in this. However, it must have been apparent in 2000 that Honda was years away from being competitive (are they now in 06). Jacques did every thing possible to make himself unattractive to F1 teams with his attitude & when he was booted out of the new BAR (which was the correct move by Richards) he was finished in F1.

   The lifeline thrown to him at Renault was heavily influenced by Bernie wanting PR, & Flavio’s belief that a ex-champ would be instantly quick. Renault realised his pace & said no thank you, Sauber was literally his last port of call & the BMW buyout made him unemployable at that price. If Dr Mario could have found a way to boot him without the price tag he would have done it.

   Sympathy for his plight is not something I can find, he made his own decisions & chose his own paths, he is reaping the crop that he sowed. Notwithstanding, he seems to have lost his pace, his results against Button at BAR destroyed his credibility & lets face it Button is quick & tidy, but he is no MS, Kimi or Fernando.On face value at BMW Nick H is the better driver & with none of the baggage, although Jacques appears chasten & has pulled his horns in to a degree.F1 will see the back of him for 07 & I’m not suer he will be missed.

   WOW, and i bet JV as you call him would be interested in learing from a 2nd place finisher…

   In 1995, he won the Indianapolis 500 on his way to winning the championship. Villeneuve is the last Indycar champion to win the title before the 1996 CART/IRL split created two rival series. As such his achievements perhaps carry greater weight.

   And that’s just the point “Dogg,” his “achievements” are all in the past. His sell by date was about 5 years ago.

   He has done nothing since except run his mouth about teammates and the people gracious enough to overpay him.
