Just a very quick note, to prove I’m still alive, and note Carl Edwards attempts to win the Race of Champions and the Nations Cup can be viewed live via Freecaster TV. (Besides, there’s about dog-squat for news this weekend - ed)
The event will be aired at 9am (est) on Freecaster Sunday morning in the states.
Edwards was awarded the the inaugural TAG Heuer Racing Award at today’s Race of Champions preview press conference.
The Award was set up by TAG Heuer this year to attempt to determine who is the best racing driver in the world. A team of eight jurors has statistically analysed the weekly performances of more than 150 drivers from F1, GP2, NASCAR and the World Rally Championship.
The running order for the ROC Nations Cup has been decided, after a draw was made on Friday evening.
The first round of match-ups will be as follows :
Heat 1 – France v Scandinavia
Heat 2 – USA v Autosport Team Great Britain
Heat 3 – F1 Racing Team Great Britain v All Stars
Heat 4 – Germany v Ireland
The draw for tomorrow’s first round of Race of Champions heats has been made at Wembley Stadium, revealing the first match-ups of the event.
The 16 ROC drivers will face off against each other in a knock-out competition to find out who is the ‘Champion of Champions’ tomorrow (Sunday, Dec 14). The opening round heats will be as follows:
Gareth MacHale v David Coulthard
Adam Carroll v Mattias Ekstrom
Tom Kristensen v Michael Schumacher
Jason Plato v Andy Priaulx
Tanner Foust v Jenson Button
Troy Bayliss v Sebastian Vettel
Jaime Alguersuari v Carl Edwards
Yvan Muller v Sebastien Loeb
