Watch the Media Go Spinwalla
Lets play the Predict What the Media Will Print Come the Monday After NASCAR game.
The rules are simple you pull on your Nostradamus Chapeau and hazard a guess how the ink-stained wretches headline this Sunday’s Sprint Cup event at “Los Wages.”
Here, I’ll start with two examples: 1. “LVMS Fails to Sellout, NASCAR Continues Attendance Tailspin.”
2. “Las Vegas Motor Speedway Attendance Lowest Since 2004.
They won’t be wrong, but what they won’t tell you is LVMS decided not to erect a 10,000-seat temporary grandstand above the third turn as they have in the past.
Nope they won’t highlight that at all. Not a bit, but it is fact Sunday will be a sellout.
Also slipping under their radar is the Sam’s Town 300 Saturday at the speedway is expected to top 100,000 for the third consecutive year.
Go ahead ink-stained wretches, spinwalla ’til your blue in the face. I know your game and I ain’t buying it.

3) ‘After three races, the COT still hasn’t delivered’
Simply because the COT has put much of the success or fail rate back in the cockpit, some will still want to blame the car itself instead of that the ‘problem’ may really lie with the driver.

In Major League soccer, they rope off 2/3rds of the seats and call the games
Agreed, that’s the other line some writers have taken two.
And the facts, based on NASCAR loop data admittedly, tell a different story.
How about “Junior’s hopes for success with Hendrick dwindle”, after three races without a win and only two top ten finishes?
RevJim’s last blog post..Dealing with rain delays and whatever
Not sure about that one Jim. The medias love affair with Junior is in large part the reason he’s voted the most popular driver each year.
To the vast majority of the scribes he can do no wrong. Tghere might be a variation on the theme: “Hendrick Fails Junior as he Again Misses Winners Circle in Vegas!”
