What’s a Rainy Day Racing Blogger To Do?
In looking at the 6am forecast it doesn’t look good. Grand Rapids, located northwest of MIS, is reporting heavy rain, fog, and mist. Jackson nearer to MIS is reporting light rain with a 100% chance it will continue through the day. And a 30% chance thunder storms will hang out through Friday.
Not a good thing, unless your a member of the State Police that has to monitor all the Ohio natives flowing north on US-23, M-50 and US-223. Their workload should be cut significantly today.
Not a good thing for a blogger trying to pump out yet another post. What to do? Just make stuff up, what else can you do?.
Any or all of the below may or may not contain something resembling the truth. If it does it’s through an incredible stroke of luck. (But I’ll claim otherwise ’cause my middle name is Nostradamous.)
Dale Jr’s. number problem is solved. His Hendrick Mountain Dew Code Red Chevy will carry the number 666 in 2008 in “honor” of his previous employer.
Brian France (a/k/a PCNA) has reportedly directed the eventual race winner at MIS to be showered with Elvis Rubber Ducks in winners circle. Appropriate I’d say considering the weather and the Elvis anniversary this week.
Speaking of ducks, the signage over the Dale Jr. schwag trailers are proclaiming, “Lame Duck Emporium, 50% Off.” The company contracted to produce the signs issued a statement saying they have never seen such a demand this late in the season and and all orders carry the same lame duck theme.
Spectators who rented FanView devices at MIS for the Busch race on Saturday saw the video and data capabilities of WiMax, Sprint Nextel
