Will it be the Third Time is a Charm 400 at MIS?
Don’t ask me, hell if I know.
All I can offer is what the weather guessers are saying as of 6am (cdt) this morning, This is the Jackson Mi. forecast and covers the speedway:
“T-storms with a 50% chance of precipitation.”
Flip a coin race fans.
Hmmm… lets see, if the race is pushed back to Wednesday that means a Cup race would be in the morning (hopefully) and Wednesday night the NCTS races under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Not that it would cause a problem, just an interesting outcome of Michigan’s weather.
Testing by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and others scheduled for today and Wednesday at Iowa Speedway has been pushed back to Aug. 28-29 as a result of the double postponement at MIS.
I’ve had some good things to say about Iowa Speedway in the past and I won’t retract them here, but I have to ask, just how greedy can you get?
The speedway is charging fans to view the testing - one day is $20 per adult, two days is $30. Yes I know, before someone flames me, that’s a hell of a lot less than race day tickets.
But this isn’t a race, not even close.
Quick, someone give them a Cup date so their revenue stream is enhanced to the point they can stop the practice of gouging fans for testing sessions.
