With only three events left in this years NASCAR Chase the season is about to close then all there’s left is wait on that rubber chicken buffet they hold in December to hand out the awards at.

Not everyone gets to that show, although most do, even if they aren’t among the top eleven in the standings some show up for the “glamor,” media exposure and free food.

While not required to attend (allegedly, more on that later), Stanton Barrett is one NASCAR driver that may have better things to do than partake of New York City’s hospitality. If all goes well and his upcoming training in Calgary, Alberta Canada is successful Barrett may be in Lake Placid NY January 5th as a member of the U.S. Team competing in the United States National Bobsled Championships.
