Wishing on a Lucky “Starr”

David Starr captured his third career victory and second of the season at Phoenix International Raceway.

Ted Musgrave dominanted and appeared to be working his way back into the series championship battle before his right front tire let him down in the Chevy Silverado 150.

“I think Jack[Sprague] had the strongest truck out there today,” said Starr, who inherited the lead when Musgrave suddenly slowed on the 123rd of 150 laps. “But my guys kept making all the right adjustments all day and we were able to hold off my teammate, Jack Sprague, at the end.”

Starr started fifth, led the final 28 laps, and won by 0.297 seconds over Sprague. Sprague was able to make a late move for the lead but never got close enough to make his move.
