World Record Lineup of Ferraris

Enzos, Dinos, Mondials and Daytonas all in a line. You might expect to see a line-up of 125 of the worlds finest Supercars in LA or Modena It, but this “sea of red” was spotted in Hong Kong.

Horses were nowhere to be seen at Hong Kong’s Shatin Racecourse on Sunday as a record number of luxurious Ferraris gathered to break a new Guinness World Record in a charity parade.

Some 125 of the flashy Italian cars from all over Hong Kong turned up at the racecourse, setting the mark for the world’s largest Ferrari parade which was organised for disadvantaged children by city charity Po Leung Kuk.

‘Some people said it would be difficult to get everyone to come on a Sunday morning, but the turnout shows that they are all very happy to help the charity and are all very public-spirited.’

Mr Alex Yip, a Ferrari fanatic and director of a Italian motor dealer who also helped organise the event, said: ‘It is unusual and a rare opportunity to be able to gather everyone to this event.’

Some rarer models were seen at the parade, including two Enzos. There are only nine Enzos in Hong Kong and 349 Enzos in the world. They are worth HK$5 million each (US$640,000). Other models seen included the Dino, Mondial and Daytona.
